Invest in a good AGA kettle. It will boil more quickly than most electric kettles and saves money by using the AGA's stored heat.
Another Great Aga Product by Ann
I have previously used an electric kettle as I had a le Creuset stove kettle when my cooker was installed and when I tried it on top of the stove it seemed to take forever to boil. My son recently moved and inherited his first Aga, the previous owner left their Aga Kettle which he loves and when I saw how quickly the efficiently it heated wated I went straight to the Aga shop and bought one. The difference in performance between my old kettle and the Aga hard anodised is polar opposite. I love it.
Always leave the kettle to rest for 15 seconds before pouring and ensure the steam vent is in a position away from arm. The kettle is not designed to be filled through the spout and should always be filled with fresh water by removing the lid. The use of fresh water should eradicate the film from the water.

An expensive mistake by Julie
I am afraid I dont like this kettle. The steam outlet scalds your hand when you pour, you cannot fll via the spout as its too narrow and worst of all tea and coffee have a horrid film on top. We have stopped using it.
