Another Great Aga Product by Ann
I have previously used an electric kettle as I had a le Creuset stove kettle when my cooker was installed and when I tried it on top of the stove it seemed to take forever to boil. My son recently moved and inherited his first Aga, the previous owner left their Aga Kettle which he loves and when I saw how quickly the efficiently it heated wated I went straight to the Aga shop and bought one. The difference in performance between my old kettle and the Aga hard anodised is polar opposite. I love it.
Always leave the kettle to rest for 15 seconds before pouring and ensure the steam vent is in a position away from arm. The kettle is not designed to be filled through the spout and should always be filled with fresh water by removing the lid. The use of fresh water should eradicate the film from the water.
An expensive mistake by Julie
I am afraid I dont like this kettle. The steam outlet scalds your hand when you pour, you cannot fll via the spout as its too narrow and worst of all tea and coffee have a horrid film on top. We have stopped using it.
The perfect cuppa! by Leila
Not only does this kettle look super stylish on my Aga, it makes a lovely cup of tea! I love the addition of the descaler ball that it comes with - a nice touch. We had to return the first kettle as it had a leaky spout, but there was no hesitation in getting it changed. Excellent service.
If only it had a whistle! by David
If it did it would be 5 stars. Great kettle, looks the part and does the job.
Hard anodised kettle by Laura
I have not sues the kettle as yet however first impression is that it is well made! Will look forward to using it!
Hard Anodised Kettle by Anne
We now have a small and large version of the hard anodised. The smaller one much better for two people as the spout doesn't get so hot when boiling less water.
I've just bought this kettle. I love the design and it boils very quickly.
Wonderful Kettle! by Phil
When we got our Aga cooker, we initially used our Le Creuset kettle which we'd been using for ages on our gas hob. However we were disappointed at the speed - the bottom looks flat but actually isn't very. We bought this 3L Aga kettle and it boils in no time. - It outstrips most electric kettles for speed. - Unlike an electric you can boil enough for just 1 cup as you don't have to cover the element. - The shape is obviously well considered as it handles and pours beautifully. Also, I was a little unsure about having a kettle without a whistle. But in practice I've found that not to be a problem at all, because it boils so quickly that I generally don't walk away while it boils. It doesn't damage if you do forget about it either. Love it.
Hard Anodised Kettle by martin
We bought the Anodised version as a replacement four our ancient Aluminium version that developed a hole. So far it has been a very good alternative. But the screw holding the knob needs to be replaced with a stainless steel version as ours is badly rusted.
SO=o reliable, works so well
It's lasting so long... by Lynn B
it's annoying! I bought this kettle 5 years ago and it's still like new. It boils very quickly and is easy to keep clean. I use it all the time - I love tea! Highly recommended.

Big Aga kettle lid knob by Steve
Same as Lin but I have had mine for 15 years; now beautifully battle-scarred but still fully functional. The lid knob gave up about a year ago. I have tried making wooden replacements but they don't last and they look wrong. Any help sourcing a new, 'proper' knob would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

AGA HARD ANODISED TRADITIONAL RANGE COOKER KETTLE 2.0L by Paul
Great kettle and build qualiry and use it every day, but the only prpblem a crack has now appeared in the lid knob !!!. The kettle was purchased 11 months agao from Woodstock Fires can you please supply a replacement know unger warenty please Thanx Lin
I have regularly boiled this kettle dry due to inattention and nothing will destroy it! I have had many stovetop kettles but this one is indestructible. An amazing product.
This kettle is so hard wearing, I have had mine for over 12 years and it is still going strong. Well worth the money, thanks Aga.
I've had my kettle for 6 years and it still looks as good as the day I got it. No scaling. Lack of a whistle does mean I occasinally boil it dry but even this hasn't had any ill effects.
