Toast Toppers
A quick and easy breakfast idea from the Home Grown Cereal Association to support Farmhouse Breakfast Week
Ingredients
- 1 slice wholemeal bread
- 1 tbsp light soft cheese
- ½ tsp yeast extract (e.g. Marmite)
- Sprinkle mixed seeds
Equipment:
Method
Toast the bread and spread with the soft cheese. Spread the yeast extract onto the cheese to give a marbled effect and sprinkle over the seeds.
AGA:Toast the bread in the AGA Toaster on the boiling plate.
Rayburn Cooking:
Toast the bread directly on a moderate hotplate.Conventional cooking:Toast the bread under a preheated grill.
