I got the smaller one and I seem to use it every day. I've made overnight porridge, candied peel, hot chocolate, gravy, pasta sauces & soups starting from softening the onions right through the entire recipe, scrambled eggs, melting chocolate by just standing it on the aga top and just quickly heating through a tin of beans... The handle, which doesn't get too hot on the plates, makes it an ergonomic option, and being able to move it into the oven is ideal. (You only forget and touch an oven-hot handle once!). Not sure how I've managed without this little pot.
