Had family visiting from abroad. Their 'fry ups' on the hotplates cooled the oven down and made the kitchen smell. So I invested in the oven griddle. It solved the problem and everything - mushrooms, tomatoes, sausages, bacon- was there displayed in one place.
Could even have the kettle on and Aga toaster while it was all cooking.
