Simple Butterscotch Sauce
Makes just over 300ml (½ pint) sauce.
- 55g (2oz) brown sugar
- 55g (2oz) butter
- 300ml double cream
- AGA Stainless Steel Sauce Pot
Place the brown sugar, butter and cream into the AGA saucepot and bring gently to the boil, stirring until thick and smooth.
Remove from the heat.
Use as desired. Can be poured hot over really cold vanilla ice cream or over a banana cake to make it into a pudding. Perhaps used as an alternative sauce for your favourite sticky toffee pudding! Also this Butterscotch Sauce can be used cold.
