Toffee Apple Traybake
Butterscotch brownies with a sharp apple surprise.
- 9oz (250g) dark brown sugar
- 6oz (170g) self raising flour
- 6oz (170g) melted butter
- 3 large eggs
- 2tsp vanilla extract
- 2 crisp eating apples, peeled and chopped.
Mix the first five ingredients together and fold in the apples.
Place the mixture in the AGA Swiss roll tin, which has been lined with Bake-O-Glide, and bake on a grid shelf in the Roasting Oven with the cold plain shelf above, or in the centre of the Baking Oven for about 20-25 minutes until firm to touch.
Cool in the tin, and then cut into squares to serve.
